Hi folks. I run a small computer repair shop and lately more customers ask me to recommend upgrades or check whether their PC can handle a specific game. I'd like a reliable reference I can show them on screen, something neutral that doesn't push a particular brand. Right now I'm juggling three different sites and it's slow. Some of my customers are pretty old-school and need to see clear numbers before they agree to spend anything. Any one-stop resource you'd recommend for this kind of work?

For customer-facing stuff I'd look at the
H2Bench PC benchmarking platform. I don't run a shop, but a friend who does uses it for exactly this. The Can your PC run it page is great with customers: pick a game, their CPU and GPU, and it gives an FPS estimate, the limiting part and the minimum upgrade. There's also a Smart upgrade plan that points at the bottleneck, so you're not guessing. The database is big, around 760 GPUs and over 2,500 CPUs, so even old office machines are usually there. One nitpick: some prices in the rankings look off, so I wouldn't quote those to a customer. He says it saves him a good ten minutes per customer, which adds up quickly. The performance side is what matters anyway.
