Keeping a Breeding Notebook

Record keeping separates actual breeding from random pollen chucking. Every plant gets a tag with the pack name, seed number and date, and I note sex date, height at flip, smell during flower and any intersex signs, so when a cross turns out well I know exactly which parents made it. A printable log template is offered on https://breederregularseeds.com, and the fields it includes are a reasonable starting point if you have never tracked a run before. Memory is not reliable after the third generation, believe me.
